Venice the Series: Season 4, Episode 8

Oh, look, me doing something in a timely manner. No one faint from the shock. Sadly I feel like I’ve already used that joke before in these recaps. At any rate, let’s do this.

We open to Owen and Gina in heaven and/or the great big waiting room in the sky. Gina is delighted to be there. Owen is delighted to see Gina. Owen and Gina do the quick catch up. Gina is so very delighted to see him, but has an awkward moment when she has to say that Owen is dead. Owen’s had time to adjust though, so he’s totally cool with it. He does have a minor freakout about Gina’s current state of liveliness though. Teddy reassures him that Gina’s not actually dead...yet. She still has a choice to make. ...which rapidly dissolves into the best kind of sibling bickering. Teddy has a headache already. I can’t blame him, but it’s awesome and so the Brognos. All this picture needs to be complete is some booze.

Venice the Series: Season 4, Episode 7

Well Lara’s definitely done things that she can’t erase, but I have a feeling that she's going to try. ...And I'm still making bad opening credits song related puns. My bad. Let’s see what everyone's up to instead.

Venice the Series: Season 4, Episode 6

M’kay, so now I’m clipping through these recaps at…a steady pace. I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Bad Jaina, no cookie. Episode Six opens with a reminder about That Damn Letter, that Lara is an unreliable source of information and that she played pyromaniac with said letter. Also that Gina wanted to propose to Ani but instead got her heart crushed at Ani’s engagement party to Lara. And fun times were had by all. Not.

Hi, Gina’s breast. Was I supposed to be looking at her face? I’m sorry. At any rate we don’t immediately find out who “It’s you” is that showed up at Gina’s door the night before. I’m betting it wasn’t Ani.

Venice the Series: Season 4, Episode 5

Oh hai. Disappeared for three weeks, I did. Talk like Yoda for this whole recap I will not. So I could give a litany of excuses and good reasons why I’m three – almost four! – weeks behind on this whole recap shenanigan situation, but I think I’ll just skip it and not bore you guys with the details. Suffice it to say there were reasons. It wasn’t just my usual lazy procrastination. And with that on to the recap!

When last I watched Venice…Owen was dead, Gina’s daughter was crashing Venice Beach, Richard was being inappropriately pushy, The Colonel was being fucking awesome, Lara and Ani were being by turns sad, cute, manipulative and a little cheat-y. And then Gina had to go and get it into her head that what she needed to do was stop being a coward and go propose to Ani. This led to one of the most awkward scenes ever and that’s where we pick up - The Most Awkward Scene Ever.
